Kollektiv3:6Koeln for contemporary and experimental music, founded in 2017. The collective is consists of nine permanent members – instrumentalists and composers – all of which received their degree at the Cologne University of Music. Our focus is not on performing a repertoire, but on realizing new compositions and projects.

Kommas Ensemble

Kommas Ensemble is an international collective of young performers and composers founded in 2015 in Cologne, Germany. Its members, who come from Italy, EEUU, Spain, Germany and Chile, have completed their musical education at important musical centres of the contemporary music such as the Universities of Music of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bremen and the IEMA in Frankfurt. Kommas Ensemble arises from the need of linking the avant-garde music with its past, in a way which attempts to generate in its artistic proposals a space where the different aspects of the contemporary music are put in dialogue with the musical tradition.

ERMA Ensemble

The ERMA Ensemble is an international collaborative project of young musicians in Europe who are dedicated to performing the music of our age to the highest standard. Acclaimed conductor Yorgos Ziavras and a highly specialized group of soloists and chamber musicians from all over the world connected in their love and passion for contemporary music. Founded in 2019 they performed masterworks such as the “Vortex temporum” by Gérard Grisey and “cosmigimmicks” by Unsuk Chin (in attendance as well as under the guidance of the composer) to great acclaim. The members of the Ensemble maintain a healthy working relationship with both young and upcoming composers as well as established ones such as Helmut Lachenmann, Unsuk Chin and Peter Eötvös.

SOLO

Interpretation of classic works from the contemporary repertoire for percussion and special attention in new pieces. Composers such as H. Lachenmann, P. Billone, G. Aperghis and K. Stockhausen are included in the program.
